Sorry Marcathonas, the "Kingdom of Dodorian Federations" has had a slight setback. Due to trading new technologies with the more advanced races in the galaxy, the Dodorians have installed these techs on their new ships.
Unfortunately they have not yet figured out how to turn the knobs and switches of their new hardware with their wings.

At the moment, the brightest and most intelligent Dodorian researchers are researching a mind-machine controll system.

I did play MMOs like WoW and CoH for a while, but left WoW because of the ganking problem and the dead-endness of the higher levels in the game because you have to grind those uber-dungeons for high level stuff, and I left CoH because I was tired of MMOs for a while and even though the CoV expansion looks very cool, I'm still taking a break from MMOs for a while.

Marc I usually hide behind several firewalls, use an antivirus( would use more than one at a time if it were possible), and several anti-spyware programs all at once. I also use non-standard things like Firefox to help decrease my risk. I'm considering getting surfside Xandros to further protect my windows machine. I'm quite paraniod about my secuity and I know even with all my precautions I'm still not safe. So I definately won't open myself up like that on purpose.

colonial fleet? you mean like some of the first players to get GalCiv2 when it came out?

haha well yes and no... most of the current fleet did have the game right when it came out... but the colonial fleet is referring to the show battlestar galactica. its our empire under the metaverse and we all happen to like the show.

If you want decent protection, use Opera. It's got amazing load times and built in protection.

Oh, and CoV just rules. Literally. Except they nerfed regen, the best secondary in the game, because it was completely unkillable in PVP.

I use firefox too to decrease my risk, as well as a firewall and AV. though I'm not that worried about my security.

At some point I have to have a balance between security, and surfing/playing the internet and other networks... (LAN, etc)
My main point with firefox is that it doesn't view all sites, some are tailored specifically for IE.

I preordered GC2 I just didn't start posting in the forums until recently.

I have the same issue but that's because those sites don't use standard language they purposely write to IE. The only reason I try to be as secure as I do is I hate having to wipe everything clean and start over because of some idiot with too much time on his hands.

oh yea, I did play as a regen scrapper, that guy as a higher level was pratically immortal, gotta watch the endurance though.

and cool about the metaverse thing. I'm thinking of doing some metaverse games, although I can't decide whether to use my idea for a custom race (info is here: Link , although the stats are likely to change) or a preset race for the game since I only have the demo atm, but I'm planning on getting the game for my B-Day in two weeks from tomorrow

Anyone planning on getting Space Empires 5 when it comes out next month?
